Mr. Kristoffer Berse has several years of professional experience both in and outside the Philippines, encompassing knowledge management, project management, research and training. He leads EMI’s Knowledge Management Team in developing products and strategies to leverage the role of information and knowledge in urban disaster risk reduction.
Prior to joining EMI, Kris has served as research consultant for the United Nations University’s Global Environment Information Center and as Programme Fellow for the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research, both in Japan. He also used to work with the Philippine Senate and the University of the Philippines as writer and researcher.
Kris has a Masters degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Tokyo (ADB Scholar) and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (class valedictorian) from the University of the Philippines.
